When you do the work at a sale, more often than not, you will be rewarded. We inspected every horse at the Magic Millions, and I really liked the look of this Prague x Barjas colt, secured from Kia Ora for $80,000.
Prague is one of the foundation horses for Kia Ora's re-entry into the stallion business, alongside Farnan, and they both had their first yearlings sell this year. Prague was a $1.6m yearling out of the same sale ring. He went on to be a dual Group-winning 2YO sprinter and was Group 1 performed as a juvenile and three-year-old.
I was taken by his yearlings and thought he was stamping his stock. This colt had size and strength and had an excellent attitude.
He is out of the Hussonet mare Barjas, who has had three foals to race, all winners! She is a full sister to the dam of Group 1 Stradbroke hero Tyzone, who broke the 1400m course record when winning the Queensland Classic.
